The Forensic Science Program at Rutgers-Camden firmly believes that students should be scientists first before pursuing forensic science. We encourage students to major as undergraduates in the life and physical science subjects that form the basis for forensic science.
Rutgers-Camden students interested in forensic science at the undergraduate level are welcome to pursue a minor in forensic science. The goals of the minor are:
- to introduce students to the multidisciplinary nature of forensic science
- to provide an understanding of several forensic disciplines
- to recognize students who have taken courses of direct relevance to a career in forensic and/or investigation science
- to help students accelerate their graduate program of study. Up to 9 credits of forensic science course work can transfer into the MSFS degree
